I have a 99 Savage and recently drained the battery. (Stupid stupid parking lights... no wait... stupid stupid shortcore) Anyway, I was just going to take my battery out and recharge it, but it seems next to impossible. I removed the tool casing and the panel behind it, removed the right connector without much problem. The pain came in removing the left connector. The screw is almost impossible to get to, even after removing the left metal product plate (with a trick screw driver as I didn't want to remove the entire seat. So I went ahead and wrestled with the hard to reach connector screw and got it undone enough. When I tried to lift the plate to free the wire (and thereby the battery), it would only go so far and the stopped on the top on the casing! I would try to remove the top of the casing (two screws visible), but if I were to do that, it would stop because the carbeurator and the pipe that attaches are reting on the casing. Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Manual-less (until this weekend) Savage owner.
